Extra Steps is a program of Minute Man Arc, dedicated to helping children with developmental disabilities from age 3 through young adulthood. Founded in 2019 in response to families seeking continued support after Early Intervention, we have grown to provide local, family-focused services that prioritize each child’s unique needs.
Starting with limited hours in Concord, MA, we quickly expanded, moving to our own space in Acton in early 2020. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, we adapted with telehealth services and safely reopened later that year. To keep our services affordable, we relocated to Maynard’s Old Clock Tower Mill in 2025, ensuring sustainability while maintaining high-quality care.
Our expert therapists use a play-based, family-centered approach to help children develop essential skills and confidence. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive environment where children and their families can grow, learn, and thrive within their local community.
